Gross and Fine Motor Activities in a fun and active social setting - Beginner, Intermediate and Advance Program focuses on enhacing and facilitating the essential developmental building blocks necessary for reaching appropriate academic goals for math, reading and writing via the use of sensory-motor and congnitive approaches. CAMP FOCUS 2012 Monday - Friday 9.30am - 1:00pm Extended hours: 8:00am - 9:30am 1:00pm - 3:30pm Dates: Session 1 July 9 - July 20 Session 2 July 23 - August 3 Session 3 August 6 - August 17 Age Groups: Pre-K - 1st Grade Each day;s schedule will include three fun filled, invigoratin and challengin sessions, compromising either of: * Occupational Therapy * Physical Therapy * Speech & Language Therapy * Social Skills * Dance & Movement Therapy * Swimming and Aqua Therapy Each session is run by a licensed therapist with an aide. Practical Parenting Group - This program is a functional and holistic approach to common parenting challenges. Our program consists of modules spanning four sessions on the topic of Managing Challenging Behaviors Within the Family Structure. We will be targeting the difficult questions about good parenting habits, such as synchronizing a variety of parental partnerships, resolving conflict between you and your child, trusting your child's judgement and influences from peers. In the second module we will build on these tools further. This group will be led by Marlene Greenspan, a School Social Worker specializing in family therapy and Chaya Barat, an Occupational Therapist specializing in child development and play.
In addition Laura Izzo - FOCUS Psychotherapist offers individual support to parents and families. Laura's successful mid week social skills group recently started for a new cycle and her Sunday groups are about to restart!
