Chaya Greenspan Barat, MS, OTR/L
Occupational Therapist
Chaya has worked in the field of pediatrics for over 13 years and as an occupational therapist for almost 7 years after graduating from Columbia University. She has had the opportunity to work with children ages of 2 months to 21 years who have diagnoses including severe visual and auditory impairments, the autism spectrum, congenital disorders, and difficulties in self-regulation and coordination. She supervises OT interns and OT assistants and provides workshops for parents and professional development for therapists. She utilizes a variety of techniques, including NDT, oral motor integration, kinesio-taping, music listening programs, and sensory integration. Chaya continues to integrate new research and theory into her practice and has studied sign language, Spanish, and Hebrew in order to best support the child's individual needs. She is constantly working to partner with families and schools to best facilitate a child's success.
