Laura Andrucki Izzo
Psychotherapist
Laura Andrucki Izzo is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, wiht 20 years of clinical experience. Laura is a Certified Play Therapist, Certified in Floortime/DIR, Certified as a Children's Yoga Instructor, trained at the Ackerman Institue for Family Therapy and is currently in a post graduate program in Applied Behavior Analysis.
Laura has worked in a variety of clinical settings including inpatient psychiatric, outpatient mental health, and both inpatient and outpatient addictions treatment. Laura has been at the FOCUS Center for 7 years. At FOCUS, she is involved with individual therapy, parenting skills, social skills training and is a consultant to both public and private schools, around a variety of issues.
Laura received her B.A. from the State University of New York at Binghamton and her Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Rutgers University. She has studied in Paris and London and lives in New York with her husband, son and two dogs! With training in sensory processing, behaviorism, play therapy and movement, Laura offers children and their parents a unique approach to therapy.
